| Book Launch of The Art Business |

Sotheby's Institute of Art held a book launch in London on Wednesday 7 May 2008 for The Art Business, edited by Dr. Iain Robertson, Head of Art Business Studies at Sotheby's Institute of Art - London and Dr. Derrick Chong, Consultant Lecturer at Sotheby's Institute of Art - London. The launch event took place at The Red Mansion Foundation, London.
Guests enjoyed the event in the surroundings of the contemporary Chinese art exhibition, Painting After Painting, and listened to a speech by the editors who thanked the Institute, all contributors to the book, Laura Harris for designing the book cover, The Red Mansion Foundation, and to Routledge, the book’s publishers. 50 copies of the book were sold during the event. The Art Business, published by Routledge, grew out of a discussion between the co-editors about producing a series of essays for Sotheby’s Institute of Art - London’s leading Master of Art’s Degree in Art Business which has been taught for over ten years. Whilst the book provides a solid foundation for students of Sotheby’s Institute of Art, the focus was broadened to make the collection of essays more accessible to a wider readership in art business.
