Understanding Design, Part II: 1960-2010 |

Six-week evening course on the following Tuesday evenings:
The concept of ‘design’ now informs every aspect of our daily lives. As
interest in this exciting and dynamic area grows, this course examines
the evolution of modern and contemporary furniture design, from the
1960s until the early twenty-first century. Particular attention is paid to the
innovative approaches, materials and techniques employed by, amongst
others, such influential figures as Philippe Starck, Marc Newson and
Ron Arad.
This course is led by Lis Darby, Programme Director of MA in Contemporary Design at Sotheby’s Institute of Art – London.
