International Fine Art and Antiques Fair at Olympia, this debate considers
the current state of the global art market, highlighting the fundamental
issues that drive it and considering where its future lies.

Speaker Bios:
Michael Goedhuis
Michael opened Goedhuis Contemporary in London in 1995 and inaugurated the New York space in January 2002, after spending two decades specializing in early Asian art. His principal activity today is the promotion of the best Chinese contemporary art and artists throughout the world. He believes that China is currently undergoing a true "cultural revolution" which is not confined to art but is manifest in film, music, theatre, design, dance and literature.
Peter Osborne
Osborne Samuel Ltd was formed in 2004 after the merger of Peter Osborne’s company Berkeley Square Gallery and the adjacent gallery, Samuel & Co. directed by Gordon Samuel. The partnership continues the specialities of both businesses, the partners having collaborated on a number of important exhibitions for many years before the merger. Peter Osborne was the Director of the Harlech Fine Art Group and founded Berkeley Square Gallery in 1988, which he acquired in 1994.
Dr. Iain Robertson
PhD on the emerging art markets of Greater China, City University, London in 2000. In addition to over 100 articles for the arts and national press he writes a column on the art market for the quarterly Australian Art Market Report. His book, Understanding International Art Markets and Management, was published in 2005 and a Chinese translation of the book is to appear in 2009. This book was followed by The Art Business (2008). Iain is advisor to the Asia Art Archive in Hong Kong, Honorary Director of Education at MoMA Hong Kong and a consultant to the private banking arm of Hana Bank in South Korea.
Scott Reyburn
Scott has been the London-based art market correspondent for Bloomberg News since 2007. A former lecturer at the National Gallery, he has written extensively on the art market for publications that include Art + Auction, The Daily Telegraph, Antiques Trade Gazette and the New Statesman. He is also the author of the book, The Art of the Impressionists, published in 1997.
