Students on our MA in Photography programme attend a number of specially-designed study visits to museums, galleries, archives and private collections in London. These study visits are a key part of the programme. In Semester One, there is a two-day visit to the National Media Museum in the north of England and students also visit Paris at the time of Paris-Photo, the major European photography fair. In addition to attending this fair, students also visit major exhibitions and attend specially-designed sessions in key photographic archives.
In April 2007, the Semester Two study visit was to the US, beginning with a day at the International Center for Photography (George Eastman House) in Rochester, N.Y., followed by a stay in New York City’s Manhattan at the time of The Photography Fair (AIPAD), the leading North American photography fair, to include visits to key exhibitions and study resources.
